# Vendo > The open-source customization layer: your users build their own features and > micro-apps, right on top of your product. Vendo is an open-source customization layer for software products: it embeds an agent in your product that lets every customer automate their work, build their own views, and connect their tools — inside your brand and your guardrails. The agent acts through your existing API as the signed-in user and renders generated UI in a sandboxed, brand-native surface, so your users build their own features and micro-apps right on top of your product instead of waiting on your roadmap. Vendo is for the teams that ship the product: engineering and product teams at SaaS companies who keep getting one-off feature requests that don't fit the roadmap, and who don't want to maintain a per-customer fork to satisfy them. Install it into an agent you already have — the recommended path today — or use Vendo's own bundled agent, which is in Beta. Vendo is open source (Apache-2.0), self-hostable, and every metered capability has a bring-your-own path. ## Docs - [Documentation](https://docs.vendo.run): quickstart, integration guides, and the reference for every Vendo block. - [Source on GitHub](https://github.com/runvendo): the open-source repositories, including the `runvendo/vendo` monorepo. ## Pricing - [Pricing](https://vendo.run/pricing): every plan includes the whole product — plans differ in how much you use and how your team runs it, and every meter has a bring-your-own path that reads $0.
